Yuri Grymov, director
Yuri Grymov, director, was born in Russia. He is a director, script writer, actor, television presenter and artistic director of the Yug studio. He has made over 600 commercials and won over 70 awards in Russian and foreign festivals. He has also created many video clips for numerous famous Russian performers and designed programs and documentaries for television. He has directed many famous Russian feature films including The Collector, Strangers and Men’s Confessions. He has directed several plays for leading Russian theaters including Dali, Flowers, Nirvana and The Lost World. The Tsar’s Bride is the only opera he has ever directed. This is his first work at the Israeli Opera.
