Julie Mellor was born in England. Her repertoire includes Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Fenena in Nabucco, Maddalena in Rigoletto, Flora in La traviata, Amneris in Aida, Eboli in Don Carlo (Verdi), Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Siegrune in Die Walkure, the second Norn in Gotterdammerung, Flower Maiden in Parsifal (Wagner), the Drummer in Der Kaiser von Atlantis (Ullmann), Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Mrs. Herring in Albert Herring, Beggar Woman in Death in Venice (Britten), Una Donna in Intolleranza (Nono) and many other roles. She performed at the opera house of Venice as well as in numerous opera houses all over Italy as well throughout Europe.
