Children’s Opera Performances
At the Israeli Opera, we believe that opera should be for all ages, not just adults, so we created children-friendly one-hour opera productions to engage the next generation of opera fans. Our Children’s Opera performances of Hansel and Gretel (Humperdinck), The Magic Flute (Mozart), The Snow Maiden (Rimsky Korsakov) and others take place in the foyer of the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center that can accommodate up to 200 children at per performance, reaching over 10,000 children every year!
The productions change weekly, and are always fully directed with costumes and a minimal set, accompanied by piano.
Opera Hour programs can also be performed in schools, community centers and children’s hospitals throughout Israel by special order, or alternatively can be booked in advance for performances at the opera house foyer for a specific group of children.
