Dancing Tales

The childhood story of Igor Stravinsky

Igor Stravinsky invented notes and rhythms that changed the way people thought and felt about music and dance. He created a whole new challenging and tantalizing musical world. Igor's nanny told him many Russian folk tales about clowns, bear tamers and market peddlers. The program will feature dancers in authentic Russian costumes performing excerpts from Petrushka, Pulcinella, the Firebird and many other famous Stravinsky ballets.
