Great Opera Choruses

Featured in a New Double Disc

Opera choruses are always exciting. Some operas feature many choral numbers, others les so, but always when the chorus sings there is excitement on the stage, both musical and dramatic.
In the ongoing tradition of classical music in general and opera in particular collection albums, Israeli CD company Helicon issued an opera choruses double album in a joint venture with the Israeli Opera.
Choruses from operas such as Aida, Faust, Fidelio, Mefistofele, Madama Butterfly, Don Carlo, Carmen, Yevgeni Onegin and many others are featured in this double album, all from the huge opera catalogue of Decca and Deutsch Gramophon recordings.
The double disc is accompanied by a lavish booklet in which one can enjoy photographs from numerous Israeli Opera productions correlating with the music on the discs, as well as annotated program notes (in Hebrew) by Michael Ajzenstadt, Israeli Opera artistic administrator.
Israeli Opera subscribers enjoy special discount when purchasing this new opera choruses collection.
