Note from the Israeli Opera Friends Association Chairperson
We are very pleased to update you on the exciting activities that we have been doing in the US and in Israel over the past month. Before Passover, I was in New York and Los Angeles doing our third Israeli Opera outreach trip in the last 4 months. We received an incredibly warm reception from old friends and met many new people in an effort to continue to expand our network and increase awareness about the important and exciting work the Israeli Opera is doing. We did two incredible Israeli Opera events during our week abroad, and want to send a warm thank you to Liraz and Alon Geva and Ilana and Reuven Sacher for so generously hosting these events for us. We also want to thank the US Israel Business Council for inviting us to perform at their event while we were in New York.
Now, we are back in Israel and intensely preparing for 70,000 guests to attend the Israeli Opera Festival at Masada and in Jerusalem. The construction is underway at the base of Masada, as well as preperations at the Sultan's Pool in Jerusalem. We are thrilled that many of our friends from abroad will be joining us between June 2-12 to experience the Festival for themselves. There are still some tickets available, so if you have plans to be in Israel at the beginning of June and want to attend the Festival, please let us know and we can help arrange accomodations for you.
If you have already purchased tickets to the Festival, please make sure that we at the Friends Association are aware that you are coming so that we can invite you to our special VIP events ( Limor@tapac.org.il / Michal@tapac.org.il ).
Finally, we plan to be back in America again at the end of July for our first fundraising event in the Hamptons and additional gatherings in New York and Los Angeles. Please let us know if you would like to be involved in some way, and look for emails from us about the event in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, make sure to join our Facebook page for live updates, photos and video clips from the Masada Festival.
Hope to see you soon, whether abroad or in Israel.
