Jerusalem Bridge Sings Opera
Wednesday morning. The entrance to Jerusalem. Cars are trailing busses in the always busy morning traffic in the Capital. And suddenly from the height of the string bridge which has become the symbol of the city, one could hear opera. Opera? From the bridge? You must be kidding?
Yes indeed. As part of a huge promotional campaign for the coming opera festival in Jerusalem, four Israeli Opera soloists, all dressed in spectacular opera gowns, performed a variety of opera arias to the enjoyment of passers by and even the drivers in the traffic jams below the bridge who responded enthusiastically.
