New York Jazz at the Opera

The Israeli Opera Friday night jazz series continues in March with New York pianist Ted Rosenthal coming with his quartet to perform a program that combines his own arrangements to selections from Rogers and Hammerstein's The King & I as well as the greatest hits of Thelonius Monk.
Rosenthal returns to Tel Aviv for the second time this season, after accompanying Helen Merill at the season opener in the fall. He is more than enthusiastic to come back: "I'm very happy to be playing at the Israeli Opera house, of course in a beautiful facility like this it's such a pleasure to play in with beautiful acoustics and an excellent piano. It's a pleasure to be here at the Israeli Opera house and to perform here in Tel-Aviv."
