The Israeli Opera's Opera Studio

The Israeli Opera's Opera Studio

They come from all over Israel. After completing an academic degree and training in opera, scores of young Israeli opera singers attend every year the auditions for the Opera Studio – The Israeli Opera's Young Artists Program.
And those good enough to be chosen for the program join the Opera Studio for two years in which they hone their craft, they train, they study and they perform all over Israel.
The Opera Studio singers perform regularly in concert series with all leading Israeli orchestras. They also perform in the Children Opera Hour performances for young spectators at the Israeli Opera and they have their own productions which are very popular too.
And those who progress as expected will eventually find themselves performing also on the main stage of the Israeli Opera. Ira Bertman, Svetlana Sandler and Hila Baggio, to name just a few, are all alumni of the Opera Studio who today perform leading roles on stage of the Israeli Opera. And more will no doubt follow. And some follow their Opera Studio years with international careers such as Rachel Frenkel or Noa Danon for example.
The Opera Studio is the perfect training ground for opera stars in the making. Follow their performances and you too will savor the magic of young operas singers who are bound for stardom.
