Talkbacks, Lectures, Discussions and Backstage Tours
Want to know more about Israeli Opera productions? Want to come to the performance with an extra bit of information? Or would you rather meet the cast at the end of the show?
The Israeli Opera enables its patrons to enjoy a variety of extra curricular events that enhance the overall opera experience.
On the Saturday preceding each première, a Towards Opening Forum Discussion takes place on stage (11am) where members of the creative team discuss the opera and the production with members of the cast performing excerpts from the opera itself. Tickets can be booked in advance or purchased at the box office before the event.
On specific days of each production, people can enjoy a pre performance backstage tour (45 minutes before curtain time) which enables a peek into the last minute backstage preparations before the curtain goes up. Tour includes the backstage area, make up room, the stage and soloists' room. 30 minutes of a look into what actually happens backstage before the curtain goes up on any given evening. Tickets are limited and should be booked in advance.
Pre Performance Lecture
Each Israeli Opera performance is preceded by a 30 minute background lecture (in Hebrew). Lectures are free for all opera patrons and start one hour before curtain time.
This is your chance to meet members of the cast! After several performances in each production, an Opera Talkback at the upper level of the foyer enables audience members to meet members of the cast and the creative team and ask questions or comment about what they have just seen and heard. This is your opportunity to see your stars and talk with them. Not to be missed!
