Was born at the Dominican Republic. His repertoire includes Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra (Verdi), the title role in Roberto Devereux (Donizetti), the title role in Don Carlo, Gustavo in Un ballo in maschera, Manrico in Il trovatore (Verdi), Cavaradossi in Tosca (Puccini), Foresto in Attila, Arrigo in La battaglia di Legnano, Jacopo Foscari in I due Foscari, Oronte in I Lombardi (Verdi), Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Enzo in La Gioconda (Ponchielli),  the title role in Andrea Chenier (Giordano), Pollione in Norma (Bellini) and many other roles. He performs regularly at La Scala in Milan, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Metropolitan Opera and the opera houses of Oviedo, Gijón, Dresden, Mallorca, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Bologna, Vilnius, Bilbao, Genoa, Las Palmas and many others. At the Israeli Opera he performed the role of Eleazar in La Juive (Halevy).
