Was born in Italy. He usually performs works of the baroque and and the classical period and
has founded the Arcadia Ensemble. He was involved in the development of many oratorios and operas in
Europe, Japan, Australia and North America. He works as a conductor at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden
Berlin, Bonn, Oslo, Vienna, Innsbruck, Basel, Lausanne and Lucerne.
