Burchuladze Paata, bass

Paata Burchuladze, bass, was born in Georgia. His vast repertoire includes Ramfis in Aida, Sparafucile in Rigoletto, Wrum in Luisa Miller, Pagano in I Lombardi (Verdi), Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Konchak in Prince Igor (Borodin), Tsar Dodon in The Golden Cockerel (Rimsky Korsakov), the Commendatore in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Timur in Turandot (Puccini), Gremin in Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and many other roles. He performs regularly at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Vienna Staatsoper, La Scala in Milan as well as the opera houses of Munich, Berlin, Paris, San Francisco, Salzburg Festival, Valencia, Washington, Monte Carlo and many others.
