Frédéric Chaslin, conductor, was born in France. He is the Music Director of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA. His vast operatic repertoire includes La traviata, Nabucco, Il trovatore, I vespri Siciliani (Verdi), Werther (Massenet), Fidelio (Beethoven). Der Ring des Nibelungen, Tristan und Isolde (Wagner), Faust, Romeo et Juliette (Gounod), La Juive (Halevy) and many others. He conducts regularly at the Vienna Staatsoper, the Metropolitan Opera, the Bregenz Festival and the opera houses of Berlin, Tokyo, Munich, Leipzig, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Los Angeles and many others.
