Vladimir Braun, baritone, was born in Russia. In the opera houses of the former Soviet Union he performed over 60 leading roles. At the Israeli Opera he performed over 50 roles including the title role in Duke Bluebeard's Castle (Bartok), Scarpia in Tosca, Michele in Il tabaro, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Timur in Turnadot (Puccini), Gremin in Yevgeny Onegin, Tomsky in Pique Dame (Tchaikovsky), Mephistopheles in Faust (Gounod), Amonasro in Aida, Ezio in Attila, Sparafucile in Rigoletto (Verdi), Abu Lutfi in A Journey to the End of the Millennium (Bardanashvili) and many others.
