Baggio Hila, soprano

Was born in Israel. She studied at the Rubin Academy of Music at Tel Aviv University. After completing her studies, she joined the Israeli Opera's Opera Studio where her repertoire included Adele in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauus), Norina in Don Pasquale (Donizetti), Gretel in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck) and Amore in Orfeo ed Euridice (Gluck). She has an extensive concert and lieder repertoire and has performed with the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, the Israel Camerata, the Israel Chamber Orchestra and other Israeli orchestras. She has recieved numerous awards and scholarships including the Ben Haim Music Competition, The Minister of Culture Award, the Grabov and the Basser scholarships, the America Israel Cultural Foundation and teh IVAI scholarships and others as well as the second prize in the International Belvedere Competition in Vienna. She performed Olympia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Offenbach) in Mecklenburg, Germany.
