Meghnagi Claire, soprano


Claire Meghnagi, soprano, was born in Israel. Her repertoire includes Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare in Egitto, Galatea in Acis and Galatea, Aci in Aci, Galatea e Polifemo, Dorinda in Orlando (Handel), La Musica in L'Orfeo (Monteverdi), Night/ The Plaint in The Fairy Queen (Purcell), Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni (Mozart) and Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini). She created the role of The Granddaughter in A Rat Laughs (Ella Sheriff). She performed in numerous opera houses and festivals including Helsinki, Tallinn, Reinsberg, Caen and others. She has a vast concert repertoire which she performed in concerts in Vienna, Berlin, London, Brussels, Madrid, Berlin, Lisbon and other places. She has received the AICF scholarships. At the Israeli Opera she performed, among other roles, Despina in Cosi fan tutte (Mozart) and Euridice in Orfeo ed Euridice (Gluck).
