Bartek Macias, video designer
Bartek Macias, video designer, was born in Poland. He graduated from the Architecture Department of the Cracow University of Technology. He has worked on numerous multimedia, film, theatre and television productions and also works as director of animation and visual special effects supervisor. In 2011 he was awarded with a gold medal in the Advertisement Festival in the Design category and the subcategory ‘Motion Graphics’ for the Video Mapping at the Shanghai 2010 EXPO. In 2005 he co-founded Lunapark, a creative collective that gathers artists from different spheres of audio-visual art. Among the opera productions for which he created video work are Die fliegende Hollander (Wagner), Turandot (Puccini), Cosi fan tutte (Mozart) as well as the plays Nosferatu, Macbeth, The Lion in the Winter, Medea and others. This is his first work for the Israeli Opera.
