Hershkovitz Shiri, soprano

Shiri Hershkovitz, soprano, was born in Israel. She graduated from the Boston Conservatory of Music. During her studies she performed Ivette in La rondine (Puccini), Atalanta in Xerxes (Handel), the Second Witch in Dido and Aeneas (Purcell), Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini) and other roles. She performed as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra and others and received the IVAI scholarship. Shiri Hershkovitz is a member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire includes Sandman and Dew Fairy in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Pamina and Papagena in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Adina in L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti), Charlotte in Werther (Massenet), Lucy in the Telephone (Menotti) and other roles.
