Svetla Vassileva, soprano, was born in Bulgaria. Her repertoire includes the title role in La traviata, Desdemona in Otello, Alice Ford in Falstaff, Gilda in Rigoletto, Elisabetta in Don Carlo (Verdi), the title role in Cendrillon (Massenet), Adina in L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti), Mimi in La boheme, the title role in Manon Lescaut, Madama Butterfly and in Tosca (Puccini),  Micaela in Carmen (Bizet), Nedda in Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), the title role in Rusalka (Dvorak), Tatiana in Yevgeni Onegin, Lisa in Pique Dame (Tchaikovsky) and others. She performs regularly at La Scala, the Arena di Verona, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna Staatsoper and the opera houses of, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Florence, Tokyo, Liege, Bologna, Geneva, Washington, Genoa, Rome, Chicago, Paris and many others. At the Israeli Opera she performed Liu in Turandot (Puccini).
