Carlo Colombara, bass, was born in Italy. His vast operatic repertoire includes the title role in Mefistofele (Boito), Zaccaria in Nabucco, Phillipo II in Don Carlo, Fiesco in Simon Boccanegra, Banco in Macbeth, Silva in Ernani, Padre Guardiano in La forza del destino, Procida in I vespri Siciliani (Verdi), Oroveso in Norma (Bellini), Colline in La boheme, Timur in Turandot (Puccini), the four villains in Les Contes des Hoffmann (Offenbach), the Commendatore in Don Giovanni (Mozart), Escamillo in Carmen (Bizet), Alvise in La Gioconda (Ponchielli), Don Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Mephistopheles in Faust (Gounod) and many others. He performs regularly at La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden,  the Vienna Staatsoper and the opera houses of Zurich, Bologna, Rome, Trieste, Munich, Venice, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Tokyo, Naples, Madrid, Chicago, Berlin and many others as well as the festivals of Savonlinna, Caracalla, Arena di Verona and others. At the Israeli Opera he sang Colline in La boheme (Puccini).
