Israeli Conductor Daniel Cohen is the music director of the Jersey Chamber Orchestra and artistic director of the Gropius Ensemble, in collaboration with the actor Itay Tiran. Daniel has conducted orchestras including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, the Orchestre National de Montpellier, the Kammerphilharmonie Graz, the European Union Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra del Teatro Petruzzelli, the Orchestra dell’Arena di Verona and the Israel Symphony Orchestra, Rishon Le'Zion. Daniel will soon be making his bedut with the Orchestra Maggio Musicale in Florence and will conduct a special concert along side Pierre Boulez at the Lucerne Festival. Daniel will be the new conducting fellow of the Los-Angeles Philharmonic with which he will make his debut next season. At The Israeli Opera Daniel has conducted productions including Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame, Shostakovich's Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Berg's Wozzeck and Verdi's La traviataRigoletto and Otello.  At the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari he conducted Massenet's Don Quichotte and recently conducted Christopher Alden's acclaimed production of Mozart's La clemenza di Tito with the Canadian Opera Company. Daniel was supported by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation throughout his studies.
