Sisters Opera Singers Hila Fahima and Yifat Weisskopf The coming concert in the Israeli Opera's Opera Studio concerts at the Ein Kerem Music Center in Jerusalem will feature the sisters opera singers Hila Fahima and Yifat Weisskopf performing arias and duets from popular operas. Hila Fahima (soprano) and Yifat Weisskopf (mezzo soprano) were born in Carmiel and began their music and voice studies in the local conservatory. Both graduated from the Jerusalem Music Academy where they studied with Agnes Masini. After graduation they joined the Opera Studio of the Israeli Opera and have since performed in numerous Israeli Opera concerts throughout Israel and with the leading Israeli orchestras as well as in Israeli Opera productions. Hila Fahima performed Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart) in the Opera Studio production with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA. At the Israeli Opera she created the title role in Alice in Wonderland (Sebba) and performed the Queen of the Night and Papagena in the family production of Die Zauberflote (Mozart). Since the 2010/11 season she is a member of the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper Berlin where her repertoire includes Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Papagena in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Najad in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss) and other roles. These days she performs Papagena in Die Zauberflote (Mozart) at the Israeli Opera.
